In Romania official Swiss representations safeguard Switzerland’s various interests and provide transnational consular services. Swiss cooperation with Eastern Europe is supporting Romania in its progress towards a social market economy and democracy. Furthermore, through its EU enlargement contribution Switzerland is helping to reduce economic and social disparities.
