- Credit for promotion of international law
Promoting international law is a cornerstone of Swiss foreign policy. Non-governmental authorities, research centres, universities and other actors play an important role in the promotion of this law. To support their voluntary actions in promoting respect for international law, the FDFA has at its disposal an annual credit of 1.5 million CHF. The selected projects must relate to one of the following areas:
- international humanitarian law and human rights
- international criminal justice
- promotion of awareness and understanding of international law
- promotion of the supremacy of law (rule of law at the international level)
- countering terrorism
